Warner Bros. and indestructible phone-maker Nokia have teamed up to unleash a new The Dark Knight Rises trailer on an internet already on the cusp of Batman-related vapors.  It's not a tease or a cross-promotional bit of fluff.  Nah, this is a full-length theatrical trailer, and it might just be the best one we've seen for this film, depending on your taste.  While previous trailers have gone for ominousness and a slow-build, this one starts with Bane blowing stuff up and only briefly pauses for breath when it isn't pummeling with action.

So far, much of the material we've been seeing from The Dark Knight Rises has been somber and a bit cold.  With a month until the film arrives at theaters nationwide, though, the bombast-O-meter is starting to spike.  Today we have two new thirty-second TV spots hyping the film, and both hurl a whole lot of action at you and show off a whole lot of new footage, much of it involving Batman doing cool stuff with his vehicular toys.  Also explosions.  Lots of those too.

Earlier this week, a listing of the fourteen tracks on the retail version of The Dark Knight Rises score popped up online, accompanied by the simple but evocative album artwork.  In order to add to the already considerable strain on your ability to wait for the conclusion to this Batman trilogy, audio samples from all fourteen tracks are now available for a listen, so you can aurally bathe yourself in Batman.

Hans Zimmer, who collaborated with James Newton Howard on the scores for both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, is returning for the trilogy-capper The Dark Knight Rises, though without Howard as his co-composer.  Just under forty days out from the sequel's release, two things of note went down today.  One, advanced tickets went on sale.  Two, a list of track titles from Zimmer's score have emerged, along with the simple, effective album artwork.

The MTV Movie Awards broadcast tonight from Universal City, California, and while the victory of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 illustrated the limitations of democracy, the show was also home to the debut of some pretty huge new footage from The Dark Knight Rises.  Not only that, but we now know the sequel's running time as well.

There's no question that The Dark Knight Rises is going to be huge.  The only question is just how huge it will be; how much money it'll generate and how completely it will dominate the popular culture.  In order to ensure that Christopher Nolan's Batman finale is a unstoppably massive as possible, Warner Bros. is pulling out many a stop.  If you're not already suffering from Bat-fatigue on account of yesterday's big promo-dump, then today we have two new international banners and details on some happenings on this year's MTV Movie Awards.

Last summer, when the massive production was shooting all over the world, we were already in danger of The Dark Knight Rises overexposure.  The pre-existing white-knuckle, mouth-foaming anticipation for the last entry in this Batman trilogy doesn't mean that Warner Bros. is resting on any laurels in promoting Christopher Nolan's last Bat-movie.  Quite the contrary, folks.

That sound you hear is Warner Bros. opening the promotional floodgates for The Dark Knight Rises, which is the summer's biggest impending superhero movie, now that The Avengers has broken so many records and cleared the way for Christopher Nolan's climactic Batman movie.  Today, there are no fewer than six character posters for the sequel, two each for the Caped Crusader, the villainous Bane, and the adaptable Catwoman.
